It's simple, SANFORD BREWING needs YOU.

We didn't want to be a statistic. The incredibly slow summer has pushed us over the edge.

Unless we get a lot of community support, we'll close, simple truth.

We’ve been privileged to serve you as your community brewery for 8 years. We rode in on a hurricane in 2016, and as true to Florida, the weather continues to be challenging to our business. This summer has been particularly tough on all the local businesses, ours included. You've seen many local icons close. We hate to be part of that number.

We love you all. We have been honored to be part of this community, partnering with charities, supporting live local music, and working with other businesses to bring about some wonderful things to lift the image of Sanford from a not-so-cool place to THE place. Unfortunately, the failure of Heritage Park to come about and bring in new business, coupled with the economy, has been crippling.

Some private stuff:

We’ve been trying to sell the building since February, when Chris was diagnosed with kidney cancer. We were lucky we found it early, and for now, he remains cancer-free, but he did lose a kidney, no simple procedure. But so far no buyer, the economy is tough. WE want to stay in Sanford, and lease it back, we are invested in the long term here!

Sadly, economy has wrought havoc on our little brewery. The costs, wages, insurance—everything has gone up. The horribly slow summer has caused many of our businesses to throw in the towel. We’ve been fighting tooth and nail not to be one of them.

So we find ourselves asking for your help.

We need $125k to pay our employees and maybe give us time to secure a buyer for the building. It's embarrassing to ask, but here we are, asking. They deserver the world. SBC employees are the best people in the world.

Please come have a beer or two or three, buy the moonshine, the gin, the soon to be distilled other liquors and new beers, or donate in person, or donate here. THIS WEEKEND.
