Please join me in ensuring that SEIU 1021 striking workers, including bus drivers, nutrition specialists, and instructional aides, are supported while fighting for the dignity they deserve and for all kids to have equal access to quality education.

No one wants to be forced to go on strike. But with no cost-of-living increases in over 6 years, many SEIU 1021 members are struggling to put food on the table, pay rent, and are forced to work two to three jobs to try to make a living.

On top of that, many of these workers are being forced to take on additional workloads and work outside of their job scope.

They have made the brave choice to go on strike. They are prepared to stay on the picket line until the district is willing to meet with them, negotiate in good faith, and make a good faith offer. We can't let their economic need force them to accept less than they deserve.
