Help Suzy Breathe Easy Again

>>>Update on Suzy-- 12/04/2024
To all those who have been kind enough to contribute to Suzy's fund, or may be considering doing so:
Suzy continues to hang in, but we're increasingly concerned about her. She is pretty much congested all the time now, which, of course, affects her interest in food, as well as her ability to smell or taste. Frequently she sneezes out large quanties of mucus, which hopefully gives her some relief; but makes us concerned about what she continues to produce.
Currently we have a provisional date for her surgery of the first week in January. But we worry about how much worse she might get in the interim--and equally
urgently, if there's enough time to hopefully reach our goal of $3750. As you can see, in spite of what people have already contributed, we're far from our goal. And this veterinary service requires the entire amount in advance.
On top of all that, we recently heard from our vet insurance that the claim we submitted for Suzy's initial treatment for this problem (an outlay of more than $1000) has been denied, on the grounds that nasal polyps are a pre-existing condition.
Again, we deeply thank those who have contributed so far. And we truly wish we didn't have to continue to ask others for help. But as with all pet lovers, our pets are precious to us. And as we face the second anniversary of the loss of our cat Sumi to Irritable Bowel Disease, we're praying the we can spare Suzy from a similar fate.
Thank you for reading.

My mother-in-law is in need of help for the family cat's health, below are her words;
To any or all animal lovers--particularly cat lovers in this case:
I am requesting financial help to pay for surgery for my 2 1/2- year-old calico cat Suzy. We adopted her in February of 2023; and even at her first exam she indicated slight signs of congestion; but she was healthy, normal weight, and very active--as well as being very affectionate. The vet opined that Suzy might have a slight issue with nasal polyps, and she recommended daily doses of lysine. But even though the condition persisted, it was mild; and Suzy was otherwise healthy, still normal weight, ate well, and was very playful.
In succeeding exams she still presented with polyp(s), but it didn't seem serious enough to intervene surgically.
In the last month or so however, the congestion has become dramatically worse. She's still active, but her breathing sounds really terrible now, like something is blocking her respiratory system; and she snores loudly when she's asleep. Her latest veterinary exams and x-rays revealed that she has polyps or another type of growth on her soft palate.
The only way to repair the condition is through surgery, which I want to provide for her. But I am a recent widow, on a fixed income (my late husband's retirement benefits); and while I've been able to cover my expenses adequately in the last months, an amount like this ($3750) is beyond my means, since I would have to pay it all at once.
I would never think of asking for help if was something for just me--but I love my pets dearly, and I can't stand to see them suffer in any way. Prior to our adoption of Suzy, we lost a beloved tabby cat Sumi to Irritable Bowel Syndrome--and I still mourn her everyday. We couldn't save Sumi, but I'm hoping that with your kindness and generosity, we can make Suzy healthy again. Thank you.
