Help Sweet Minnie
This fundraiser aims to save Minnie’s life. Minnie is a 9-year-old loveable tabby cat with emerald eyes of wonder who radiates joy and charm who’s been in the family for 5 years. We gave her a home when she needed one. We decided to take her in and swore to provide a safe and loving home for her.
Minnie has always been the sunshine in our storm. She constantly reminds us to be positive, strive for unconditional love, forgiveness, and more importantly, be grateful for all the things we have right now.
You can make a difference by praying for Minnie’s well-being by sharing this link with your online network or donating.
What's the plan? Minnie requires surgery for bladder stone removal. Not only is she suffering from pain and straining to urinate, but bladder stones are life-threatening. It can cause an obstruction and can cost Minnie her life.
The optimal procedure is called PCCL. The procedure is done at the Animal Medical Center for thousands of dollars. It's minimally invasive and has a high success rate than the Cystotomy, where they will cut her tiny body open barbarically, making recovery time longer. Not many animal centers have the machines required to do the PCCL procedure. I trust AMC’s experience and expertise.
When did this happen? Five months ago, Minnie started meowing while using the litter box. Minnie rarely meows, so we knew something was off. Upon inspection, we found blood in her urine. It’s taken months to figure out Minnie’s recurring infections are due to bladder stones.
Each month, we went for numerous urine analyses/cultures, bloodwork, as well as an x-ray. Minnie tried three different antibiotics for a possible UTI. We were cleaning her backside because of blood. In the meantime, we’re giving her Gabapentin for pain as well as a calming/sedative aid.
All our funds have been exhausted at this point, but we are trying to do whatever we can for Minnie. She’s worth it.
Where will the funds go? All proceeds will pay for Minnie’s consultation, pre-op blood work, surgical procedure, anesthesia, hospitalization stay, cephalic vein catheterization/fluids, surgical monitoring, stone analysis, digital radiograph, ampicillin injection, etc. e-collar, and pain medication, to name a few.
What are we doing? We’re proactive. Outside of the fundraiser, we’re selling items on Offer Up and Facebook Marketplace. We’re also asking animal centers to consider extending financial assistance at any cost.
It means the world if you can be a part of Minnie’s story.
What can you do to help? Pray for Minnie and her well-being. Share this fundraiser page with your online network. Any donation is welcome, whether it’s the price of a cup of coffee or a pint of your favorite ice cream. No donation is too small. We are hoping for the best outcome. That surgery will happen, and it’ll be completely successful while we prevent future stones with the proper diet/treatment plan in the future.
A simple act of kindness goes a long way.
Thank you. God bless.
Minnie and family.
