Please Help: Sweet Shyanne needs Medical Care

Shyanne's Diagnosis: Orthostatic Intolerance, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia, Ether-Danlos, Lymphedema, Failure to Thrive.

As Shyanne's 12th Birthday neared, she experienced her first episode of Orthostatic Intolerance due to her Nervous System Dysfunction also known as Dysautonomia.

The episode was during school, causing her to pass out & take a trip to the E.R. What we thought was going to be a fleeting experience, has turned into a nightmare for our sweet little girl.

Everyday is a new day of heart jumps over 200, dips down in the 30s, Syncope (Sometimes 3xday), extreme foot/leg pain with pooling of blood & swelling. Including severe Spinal pain :'(

Shyanne will go through days of constant painful hiccups, coughs, chest pain and labored breathing. Her skin, joints and hair will have reactions to insignificant environmental factors. Most days Shyanne's blood flow is disrupted and her extremities swell with pooled blood. When the blood cannot make it to her brain: Shyanne hits the floor.

Some days she cannot walk or eat because of abdominal pain and throat swelling. Some days she seems like everything is going to be alright. Unfortunately this recent diagnoses of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia, Orthostatic Intolerance and Ethers Danlos Syndrome will be life long.

The ANS controls all mechanisms of our bodies that are easily taken for granted : Breathing, blood flow, fluid distribution, joint mobility, hair growth, eye blinking; the list is long.

Every day is a new day for Shyanne. Her gratitude is unbounding, and her attitude has remained sweet and positive. She hopes that she can learn to conquer this syndrome, and return to school to be with her friends.

If you have read this far, please send positive thoughts and keep my daughter in your prayers, while the Mayo Clinic continues their diagnosis and treatment plan. Shyanne has had to be seen by specialists at Texas Childrens Houston & Austin,

University of Arkansas Health & Science, and Arkansas Childrens. The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota has accepted Shyanne and triaged her under their care. The Mayo Clinic is on the front end of this illness and we are very fortunate to have the Mayo Clinic accept Shyanne as a patient.

Shyanne's current and future care is extremely costly. Shyanne requires many medical devices, and specialized modifications for monitoring, tracking, , bathing, muscle toning, blood flow, clothing, temperature regulation, walking/standing and riding in a vehicle, medication and diet. Plus her lists of medications and compression garments.

Prayers and Donations are greatly needed! All Donations are direct deposited into a Savings Account for Shyanne. Funds can only be spent on Health Related Expenses. The purpose of these funds is for Shyanne's co-pays, deductible, surgeries, testing, IV medications, imaging, assistance devices/tech, and compression garments.
