Help Tabay & Sahel Rebuild After Losing Everything in a Fire
Donation protected
My name is Tabay Atkins, and my mom is Sahel Anvarinejad.
We just lost our home.
On the night of February 9th, 2025, our home in Maui Meadows burned to the ground. All of our belongings, memories, and the life we were building—Gone.
It has been my mom’s lifelong dream to live on Maui, and in February 2024, that dream finally became a reality, on the same day of her cancer free anniversary.❤️ But just six days before the one-year anniversary of getting our home, we lost it all.
The night of the fire, my mom was still in Kahului at our food truck, Tabay’s Mindful Kitchen, cleaning up after a long day. My grandparents, who had just arrived on the island that very day, were staying in the cottage on our property. A neighbor and my grandparents were the ones who called my mom and told her our house was on fire. By the time my grandparents escaped, both the main house and the cottage were in flames.
We are still in shock, and trying to process this tremendous loss. We are not sure what to do from here and what comes next, but we could use your help to start over. Any support—whether through donations or simply sharing this with your community—would help us out a lot.
Mahalo nui loa. We appreciate your support.❤️
