Hello, I'm Taffy, a 34-year-old transgender guy who has been on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for several years, and it has been transformative for me. These changes have helped me understand my true self, and I've gained a newfound desire to lead a fulfilling life. However, I face a significant financial barrier in my journey towards happiness in my own skin – the cost of top surgery.

My chronic mental health issues have prevented me from working for most of my adult life, and I rely on disability pension for support. Unfortunately, I don't have any savings, assets, or superannuation to fall back on. Recently, I managed to secure some casual work, and I’ve saved a bit but not enough. I hope to continue working and saving, but my mental health is unpredictable and unstable. And also comes with a lot of expenses like therapy, doctors appointments etc 

I do not like asking for money but I just can’t afford to pay for this surgery on my own. 

Below, I've provided an approximate breakdown of the costs. Any donated funds that exceed the needed amount will be donated to another trans persons gender affirming fund.

The surgery is about $8000 out of pocket.
