Help Taiyo Reopen

This morning August 12th, 2021, a large fire claimed multiple businesses in Sunnyside, including Taiyo Japanese Grocery & Deli.

Taka San, the owner of Taiyo, is now trying to rebuild his business after this devastating event.

We have set up this donation page for those who, like us, love Taiyo and everything it brings to our little corner of New York City here in Sunnyside.

It is our hope that the donations we collect here will help Taka San, his wife, and two children at this terrible time.
