Help Tammy Survive Breast Cancer
Donation protected
We are fundraising for my daughter.
Tammy is only 41, she is a single mother and sole provider for her family. For those that know her, you all know how stubborn she can be. Not a bad thing when we're talking about the fight of her life. But even strong people can get sick and they get tired too...which leads to our plea for help.
In August 2021 Tammy got a new job; one she had been hoping for. One where she could use her gift of sobriety and the knowledge she has learned along her journey, to help kids who might inevitably end up where she has been. She was excited to be a guiding light in whatever capacity she could.
Then everything changed for her that same month, when she went for a routine mammogram. It was then that she was diagnosed with a recurrence of breast cancer. She had been in remission for almost three years, so talk about a shock!
We have told this story many times so far, and I have decided to redo our page, so you may have already seen our plea, but I can not express enough how important and urgent this is.
She is alone in keeping her house running and providing for her kids. I don't know how she has managed to keep it all together, but now she is really struggling.
She has been sick lately, too sick to go to work which means no income. I have helped as much as I am able to, but landlords and utility companies do not care - they can't.
I know, it seems like everybody out there is asking for a handout, and it is humiliating to beg for help. (It is taking a great deal of humility for her to even allow me to ask on her behalf!)
To let you know the plan at this time, Tammy is waiting until they can get her in for surgery in Salt Lake. She will work as much as she's physically able to until then.
The mastectomy was rescheduled by the hospital from December to January as they have to do some special scheduling to include the reconstruction, and there have been many surgeries pushed out since the pandemic hit.
So... they are having Tammy take a drug in the meantime that is supposed to keep the tumor from spreading.... well, I am as nervous as a cat on a tin roof! (I think she is worried too.)
Anyway, Tammy hopes that after the mastectomy she will recover and quickly get back to work . She is already tired of being tired.
We are so very very grateful to All of you who have already donated so far, we Greatly appreciate it!!
If everyone who sees this will give $5 to $20, I think it will add up to really give her the help she needs. And then of course, I will ask you to forward and share this and please say a prayer for her. That would truly be a blessing for Tammy!
Tammy is too young to leave us. Her kids still need her. I need her.
I am very thankful for all of You, our friends and family.
Thank you for reading my post and I wish you all the best.
