Help Tamara Overcome Health and Financial Struggles

I applied for a position with Amazon four years ago, starting as a delivery driver. My manager, Tamara Morehead, helped me tremendously during my first days, and we became close friends. Tamara became my adopted sister, given our close relationship, spending most of our time together when not working. We no longer get to do any of these things together as she is now bedridden. Her health declined rapidly during the first week of March 2024, first with severe abdominal and back pain. Tamara went to her primary care doctor, who then referred her to the Greensboro imaging center. Tamara had a CT scan on March 6 and found a rotated kidney with large kidney stones. On March 8th, Tamara met with a urologist, who performed a second CT scan. Surgery was then scheduled to remove the stones and sack from one of her kidneys. Tamara was admitted to the hospital on March 21, and following her surgery she was discharged. Tamara was doing fairly well after the surgery until June, when she started experiencing intense pain. Following another CT scan, Tamara was instructed to go to the ER. More medical tests were performed, revealing multiple myeloma due to lytic lesions on her spine, pelvic area and ribs. They are not 100% sure about the multiple myeloma. She was referred to an oncologist, who performed more blood work. On July 2, Tamara was admitted to the hospital again for severe pain, requiring more medical tests. Tamara has been referred to Duke Endocrinology. The first available appointment is January 23, 2025. During this time, Tamara has grown weaker and has been working from home/bed. Tamara was dismissed from her job last month and has been unable to find another job. I have watched Tamara go from being an independent woman now being bedridden. Tamara has lost all income and will lose her insurance after this month. She has applied for unemployment but was denied because she also applied for disability. In the meantime, I want to make this burden as less stressful on Tamara as possible. Please consider giving a financial donation to Tamara.
