Help Tamela fight breast cancer and find housing after fire!

The fight against cancer goes on. There is no one I know who can say they DO NOT have a friend or relative that has battled this terrible disease.

As some of you may know in March 2020 Tamela was diagnosed with HER2+ Metastatic Breast Cancer which had spread to her bones. In the middle of the pandemic Tamela and her family readied themselves for the biggest fight of her life, she underwent a bilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy and several rounds of radiation in order to prevent further spread of the cancer.

Unfortunately during a normal CT scan it was discovered that two of the tumors on her spine had grown and needed to be removed. On January 19, 2023 underwent spinal surgery to remove two of the tumors pressing on her vertebras and was set to begin another round of chemotherapy shortly after that in March 2023.

What more could happen? I’m glad you ask. While recovering from spinal surgery, Tamela’s house caught fire due to an electrical problem in the garage, rendering the house uninhabitable. She and her children have been displaced and are now looking for another place to live because the repairs to their current home will take several months.

Tamela is the best friend a person could ask for. She’s a loving mother and the best grandmother in the world. Although life has taken a toll on her, she continues to push forward. She is always the first to lend a helping hand to others. Tamela will never ask but I’m asking that we help her during these trying times. No donation is too small, everything helps.
