Help Tammy through this difficult time

Let me tell you a little about Tammy Sturgis-Mahan. She is an extremely kind hearted, hard working, great friend, and loving mother to three children and grandmother to two grandchildren. On October 28, Tammy went to Columbia University Hospital for a medically necessary surgery on her abdomen. She went into the surgery knowing she would require a decent amount of time to recover, but planned to get right back to work afterwards (Tammy has worked at Foxwoods casino since the day it opened and loves her job, especially the people she works with). However, after her surgery she began to become extremely short of breath and was taken back into surgery. She had developed a life threatening infection, which later progressed to septic shock, pneumonia, and developed blood clots in her lungs. The doctors then ended up performing five more surgeries, reopening and closing her abdomen, trying to control the infection. While all this was happening she required the use of a ventilator to breathe, and later ended up requiring a tracheostomy due to being on the vent for too long. Today she still requires the trach, has little mobility, but is slowly getting better. Due to the complications of her surgery, Tammy's time out of work will be much longer than anticipated. This unfortunately comes with the burden of worrying about bills. Any donations to help ease this burden for her so she can focus on healing will be greatly appreciated by Tammy and her entire family.
