Help Tammy & Trent (Pastey) through tough times

I'd like to share a love story like no other....

Tammy and Trent first met when they were just 12 years old. They were each other's first true love, dating on and off throughout high school. They grew up, moved apart, had families of their own and we all thought that was where their story ended.

Fast forward to 2019 and the gift of social media where, they found each other again. After chatting for hours on end, they discovered that after all these years they were still madly in love with each other. So, a long distance relationship began. Tammy would fly to Iowa to visit Trent, and Trent would fly to Arizona to visit Tammy. Shortly after reconnecting, Trent was diagnosed with a form of Leukemia. Doctors were hopeful he could live a normal life on a daily chemo pill.

In 2020, Covid hit and Tammy decided her priority was to head back home to Iowa to ride out this storm by Trent's side. A decision I didn't fully support at first because I needed my sis. But I soon realized this was the best decision for them both as they needed each other more than I ever knew. Tammy and Trent have spent the last 2 years building a beautiful life together which includes 7 crazy dogs.

A few months back Trent started having horrible unbearable back pain, something my sister and I are all too familiar with. Unfortunately scans showed spots on his spine that were likely the cause of his pain. Just this past week surgery was performed but they could not successfully remove all the tumors that were growing inside his spinal cord. They are a very rare cancer and the doctors informed him that chemotherapy and radiation are going to be the next steps after he heals from this surgery.

Today, Trent and Tammy's main focus is to get him healed and find the best doctors and treatments available. This care may involve getting Trent into the Mayo Clinic, the closest being in Minnesota.

Trent and Tammy (and their puppies) need all of us now more than ever.

Please help by donating any amount that you can to keep their bills paid and a roof over their and the dog's heads (Pastey's Sanctuary). Medical bills are going to start piling up as they navigate through these uncharted waters.
