Help Tammy Triumph over Cancer

My name is Steve Hawley. A few weeks ago my big sister, Tamara (Tammy) Burton, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She will undergo a double-mastectomy on April 18th. Tammy is single, and lives in St Augustine Florida, which is quite a ways from most of our family here in the Lake Jackson area. Although Tammy has medical insurance, the cost of her out-of-pocket expenses will be overwhelming. After the surgery Tammy will need a home health nurse to help get back on her feet. Tammy does have a short term disability plan with her job, unfortunately most of her income is commission based. She just found out commission is not covered as part of her short term disability. She relies heavily on her commissions each month so this adds to the uncertainty. Along with her hospital bills, she will need some medical equipment, home health care nurse and living expenses for the 3+ months she will be out of work and recovering.

The best way we can think of to help bless Tammy during this frightening time is to lessen the financial burden on her shoulders.

Thank you for allowing us to come to you on our knees and pray for healing. Lord be with Tammy as she undergoes surgery and we ask for complete healing of the cancer. Eradicate it Lord! We ask for patience and precision from the nurses, doctors and surgeons involved. As Tammy goes through this healing process we ask that you calm her spirit, give her peace from within and let her know that You are right with her, every step of the way. We love you Lord, and we trust You.
