Tanisha is not just an athlete; she's an All American, All-conference MVP who dominated the volleyball scene from high school to NCAA at Southern University A&M in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her tenacity on the court earned her recognition, including a memorable MVP title in a tournament where her team finished last—truly showcasing her exceptional skill and determination.

However, life took an unexpected turn in March 2019. A simple sneeze led to the discovery of a broken L5 bone in Tanisha's spine. Further tests revealed tumors, and the devastating diagnosis followed: Metastatic breast cancer, spreading throughout her body.

Imagine facing the challenge of cancer while losing the ability to walk. Tanisha's journey has been a testament to strength, resilience, and unwavering determination. She's not just my sister; she's a fighter, a true warrior.

In addition to battling cancer, Tanisha has shouldered the responsibility of caring for our ailing father, who sadly passed away this year. Balancing medical challenges, work, and bills, the toll on Tanisha has been immense.

Today, Tanisha is wheelchair-bound, having lost feeling from the waist down November 27, 2023. Radiation on her brain in October 2023, due to tumors spreading, has also taken her hair. The financial strain has become overwhelming.
