Help Tanya get a power wheelchair

Hello, I'm Barbara, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Tanya, who is in urgent need of a power wheelchair.

Tanya's journey with Multiple Sclerosis began in 2003. Despite the challenges, she experienced a period of remission that allowed her to lead a relatively normal life. However, in January 2023, a routine MRI revealed that her MS had returned, leading to a major relapse by March. This relapse brought with it a host of debilitating symptoms including loss of coordination and sensation from the waist down, muscle weakness, pain, and extreme fatigue.

Though Tanya has regained some sensation in her lower body since then, she still struggles with mobility. Walking even short distances has become an arduous task, severely limiting her ability to leave her apartment and engage in daily activities.

Tanya works full-time, fortunately from home, but her desire to reclaim some semblance of a normal life remains unfulfilled. Unfortunately, she doesn't qualify for government assistance due to her employment status, and her insurance doesn't cover the cost of a power wheelchair.

A power wheelchair is not only essential for Tanya's mobility but also represents her ticket to independence and a better quality of life. The total cost, including taxes and additional electricity expenses, amounts to $7,500.
