Help Tanyi Get Life-Saving Scoliosis Surgery
Donation protected
My son, Tanyi, was in every way an ordinary happy 13-yr old boy.
Since he was an infant, he's loved to draw, sing, dance, and practice his karate.
He was always so happy, full of life, and full of play.
All of that changed in June of last year (2021).
He came back from school one day, and I noticed a protrusion on his back that wasn't there before.
His doctor promptly ordered x-rays immediately. Our world came to a crashing halt when he was diagnosed with degenerative scoliosis, which had already progressed beyond 50%.
Like most, we really didn't even understand what that was at first.
As we studied and learned, we tried several proposed remedies. Our futile efforts include massages, chiropractors, and he is currently wearing a brace.
At this point, his doctors say only surgery can correct his condition.
Based on the recommendation of his current team of doctors, our hopes now lie with the experts at the Jaypee Hospital in Noida, Utter Pradesh, India.
The current medical cost estimate is $15,000, and we estimate an additional cost of $5,000 to cover travel and lodging between Cameroon and India.
Please help Tanyi restore some normalcy to the remainder of his childhood.
Every donation helps, and if you have nothing to donate, please share his story and pray for us.
From the bottom of my heart, I would like to express my gratitude to all the nurses and doctors who have helped us take care of our son so far
- Nicolas Barre hospital in Yaounde, Cameroon
- The Handicap center in Etoug Egbe hospital Yaounde
- Dr. Mokom
- The Muna Foundation Clinic in Douala
And thank you for being a part of Tanyi's journey.
