Help Tara in her fight with ovarian cancer

"How many weeks??"

This is what the guy in the ER asked when I walked in on May 26th, 2023. He took one look at my incredibly distended belly and assumed I was 9 months pregnant and about to give birth.

But on that day, several months after dealing with the worst nausea, indigestion, and fatigue I've ever felt, I didn't give birth to a beautiful baby. But instead a ~8-10lb ovarian tumor the size of a basketball.

I had been trying to convince doctors in the ER, ob-gyns, and medical professionals that something was not right for months. They saw a "mass" on CTs and ultrasounds but did not act. I couldn't eat or sleep but I was exhausted all the time.

Because of this negligence, I am now stuck with untold amounts of medical bills and debt. I am now undergoing chemotherapy and experiencing "chemo brain" and fatigue so bad I can't work. I don't know what day it is sometimes.

I've been lucky that several family members have helped me financially during this time but I can't continue to place that burden on the same people who also have their own expenses.

I've never done this before and I don't like doing it, but with less than $100 to my name, I can't pay bills or afford medical insurance and I worry about how I will afford the ongoing chemotherapy and tests.

I don't expect much or anything. I didn't know what amount to assign to this. I'm sure the amount I put is just a tiny amount of what I'll owe for cancer treatment and testing for the rest of my life. I just know I have nothing and no way to get it.

I will appreciate anything you can give. Even if it's $1, that will be a dollar I can put towards the bills that are piling up.
