Help Tara with Medical Expenses
Donation protected
In 2014, Tara Fishel was diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing a year of treatment and a year of surgeries, which included chemotherapy, DIEP and a double mastectomy, Tara was relieved to learn she was cancer-free of the breast cancer. Sadly, in Aug 2019 the day after being told she made it to the 5-year marker cancer free, Tara received word from her medical treatment team that more testing was necessary. The additional testing revealed she was actually not cancer free. Tara was diagnosed with stage 4 (there are only 4 stages and 4 is the worst) ovarian cancer. In February 2020, she again went into remission, no evidence detected. Now in August 2020, she is in chemotherapy again to help rid her body of this nasty disease once and for all we pray.
The road ahead will be long and challenging, at this time it is estimated that she will be in treatment for at least another 6 months or more depending on no evidence of disease diagnosis. Based on her diagnosis we anticipate procedures to aid with chemotherapy and urgent or emergency medical care based on treatment, the side effects and any secondary infections due to a vulnerable immune system.
All contributions to this GoFundMe will go directly towards medical bills and any pet care needs if a hospital stay is required. We greatly appreciate any assistance in Tara's time of need. Thank you so much for reading Tara's story! God Bless and take care!
