Help Tarah Battle Crohn's Disease
Donation protected
For those of you who know Tarah you know she is a strong independent woman who never quits. Since the age of 16 she has had an ongoing battle with Crohn's Disease and has had multiple surgeries and tried multiple biological drugs to get well.
Fourteen months ago she was blessed with the birth of her little boy Conner. During this joyous time Tarah was struggling daily with health issues including; constant cramps, reduced appetite, fatigue and weight loss. She's had C Difficle four times and was hospitalized during these times.
On Friday the 13th of September 2019 she went to the hospital thinking she was having a gall bladder attack but they told her she had gastro. Only for her advocating for her own health she demanded a CT scan which showed her lower bowel was now badly diseased to the point that she has a section almost completely blocked and another section which was almost perforated. The doctors have put in a picc line (feeding tube) for nutrition for her body was depleted of nutrients leaving her too weak for surgery.
Tarah had just returned back to work in the dental field from maternity leave, leaving her without income, and she does not qualify for sick benefits through EI or insurances due her pre existing medical condition, She is going to be off work anywhere from four to six months trying to recover from two upcoming surgeries when she gets strong enough to have them (hopefully within the next 2-4 weeks), but in the meantime she will remain in hospital. This is going to be a financial burden on Tarah and her family and Conner still needs childcare and the family is down now only to Darrin's income.
Anything that you can contribute would be greatly appreciated to eliminate the financial burden at this time, so Tarah and her husband Darrin can focus their energy on getting Tarah well.
