I’ve Come a Long Way
I’m a long way from home in India, where my family lives. I left two years ago to join Barca Academy (and ASU Prep) on a partial soccer scholarship. By God’s grace, my experience here has been incredible. I have a 3.6 GPA and have captained the U19 Pre-Academy team. My goal is to play professional soccer in the future, and Fresno Pacific University is the best option for me to continue growing as a player. I plan to pursue a BA in Kinesiology, with a minor in International Studies at Fresno Pacific University starting in August 2021.
A Little More to Go
This last year has been hard on all of us. Through it all, my family has persevered, and the Academy has shown me great kindness. Looking ahead, with scholarships and student loans from Fresno Pacific, my first-year out-of-pocket need for college tuition is $7,450. My family can support me for only a fraction of that, so I am seeking to raise at least $6,000. I am going to work this Summer at the Academy to help raise as much as I can toward my college tuition as well as for expenses like insurance, books, computer, soccer shoes, etc. (During my first year in college, I will be seeking additional scholarships and jobs to keep my dream alive.)
