Help Tareq to Evacuate from Gaza for his Education

Hello everyone,

I am writing this message asking your help for a very urgent matter under difficult circumstances. My name is Tareq Sourani. I’m 16 years old, born and raised in Gaza. My family and I are currently in Gaza, facing horrible situations, and we are currently in need of your support to evacuate outside of Gaza, for a better future and life.

I am currently studying 11th Grade. I had previously participated in various programs and competitions, including my experience in South Africa with the African Leadership Academy in August this year and was nominated as a Rise Finalist along with 500 students selected this year.

My family and I are currently trapped in Gaza. We escaped death multiple times under unimaginable circumstances. Due to the current crisis in Gaza, we decided to evacuate outside of Gaza. We can make this possible with your support. We are 6 in my family: my parents Ibrahim Sourani and Heba Sourani, and my three siblings, Deema (14 YO), Osama (10 YO) and Laila (2 YO).

The first photo is my beloved neighborhood, the street which I used to walk in daily for many years, where all of my memories, my loved ones are in.

The second photo is my beloved house, that I lived in with my family since I was born, the place that I feel safe in, where I have build my memories in, not to mention that my room was also partially destroyed, if not completely.

The third photo is my beloved school that I used to attend since 1st grade until a day before the war.

We find ourselves displaced from our house, unable to attend school and to continue our education, hardly recognizing our beloved city again after it has been turned into rubble.

The fundraising goal which is $25,000 USD (or $32,000 CAD) includes me and my family’s fees entrance to Egypt, living and education temporary expenses outside of Gaza.
