Help Taryn while on her healing journey

Donation protected
Hello everyone, last year, in September 2023, my daughter Taryn, 20 years old at the time, was diagnosed with cancer. She had a malignant melanotic nerve sheath tumor on her spine. At the time, Taryn was living in Wisconsin, so I immediately moved her to
Indianapolis

where I lived and some of her family. About a month or so into Taryn being here, she was admitted to the hospital. She was in excruciating pain in her legs and back. She was seen by many doctors and surgeons, and they were suggesting surgery, a big one, and it would have to be done soon.

Two-part surgery was then scheduled for February 12, 2023, and February 14, 2023. The surgeries were very long hours. The first one was to start removing any nerves that were connected to that tumor. The second one was to remove the tumor, her tailbone, her fibula that controls her feet, and other nerves. These surgeries left Taryn with a whole physical body change. She is in a wheelchair, uses a walker, and also has to wear leg braces that prevent her feet from dragging for the rest of her life. She has four rods and sixteen screws in her back.

Throughout all of this, it has put the family in a financial strain. We are currently living with Taryn’s grandmother where her only two bedrooms are on the second level and also the main bathroom for showering. We’re asking you to please help support Taryn and family by donating anything that you can so that the family can move into a place of their own that’s more suitable for Taryn’s physical needs and also able to purchase some medical equipment that insurance won’t cover. Taryn is being cared for by her mom and fourteen-year-old sister. Taryn also has a three-year-old son. Taryn’s mom has returned to work while Taryn is in the hospital awaiting another surgery to get a pain pump administered into her spinal area. Taryn has been in the hospital this stay going on the third month for pain control. She also has completed three rounds five days each of chemotherapy.

Before the surgery, Taryn was an independent, hardworking mom with a great loving, caring, generous heart. She worked in nursing homes as a caregiver since she was 18 and loved what she did. She was about to enroll back in school to get her CNA license. She is a wonderful daughter, sister, friend, cousin, etc. Most of all, she is an amazing mom to her son Zion. Very healthy young lady before the tumor.

Please donate if you can. We would greatly appreciate it, and if you can’t, please share this link along with keeping Taryn in your prayers. Please and thank you so much.
