Help Tatiana and her family to survive
Donation protected
Tatiana Okhremenko is a mom to two beautiful kids, 12-year-old Taras and 10-year-old Taya. She is also the wife of my dear cousin, Vasil.
A year ago, their happy family was devastated by the news that Tatiana has an aggressive, malignant brain tumor - an astrocytoma. At the time of diagnosis, the astrocytoma had already spread throughout much of Tatiana’s brain, making surgery very difficult - nearly impossible.
Since then, Tatiana has gone through 6 cycles of chemotherapy, the bulk of which failed to yield any positive results. Unfortunately, the tumor has spread even further, transforming into a grade IV glioblastoma. She’s currently at the hospital receiving meds to suppress seizures.
Tatiana is a fighter by nature, and there is no greater incentive for a mom to keep fighting than the desire to see her kids grow up. That’s why Tatiana and her family have made the difficult decision for one last battle - an incredibly difficult and risky, but perhaps lifesaving brain surgery.
As you perhaps know, neurosurgery is amongst the most expensive medical procedures. With their family’s and friends finances already near-exhaustion from numerous chemo-treatment bills, we are hoping that crowd funding will help us pay for the Tatiana’s next week surgery and the following chemotherapy. It is going to be a complicated surgery, and one that poses a considerable amount of risk, but this is the only chance of recovery for Tatiana, and she is willing to take it to be able to be with her husband and children for many holidays to come.
Tatiana has the courage to take on one more fight, but the family needs your help to finance it. They are grateful for any and all donations. The family promises to share updates on how Tatiana is doing after her surgery. Again, much gratitude for all donations and prayers! Every little bit helps!
