Help Tatum March with Madison Scouts

Hello! My name is Tatum Townsend and Im excited to share that I’ve been given the opportunity to spend a second summer marching with the Madison Scouts. Over the past few seasons of my involvement in marching band, my passion for music has been rekindled, and the marching arts has quickly become one of the most important parts of my life.

Drum and bugle corps is a truly life-changing experience, in which it provides the opportunity to push yourself both physically and mentally while being part of something greater than yourself. Drum corps allows you not only to be able to better yourself musically, but also enables you to develop important life skills such as responsibility, time management, and perseverance. Spending last summer marching with the Madison Scouts has allowed me to grow not only as a musician, but also as a person. Having the privilege to march in DCI finals this past summer truly feels like a testament to how much the activity has shaped my life. It's not just about competing on a field, but about the community, friendships, and shared passion that continuously make every step of the journey worth it to me. The marching arts has become my purpose and I am endlessly grateful to have the opportunity to continue following my passion this summer, chasing that sense of accomplishment, connection, and fulfillment with every performance. 

Unfortunately the activity is only growing in cost and despite my efforts, with being in school full time and working two jobs consistently, I have not accumulated enough to cover my tuition and other financial responsibilities that are required of me. I'm starting this GoFundMe in hope that I am able to raise some of my tuition money, and the funds to help with plane tickets and other band related costs before this summer.
