Help Taun overcome mold borne illness
Donation protected
My name is Christa, and I am raising funds for my friend, Taun, who has been suffering from symptoms of mold borne illness. She needs help with her medical bills and moving expenses.
I've known my friend, Taun for over twenty five years. Throughout this time, she has constantly educated herself on how to live as healthy, organic, and chemical-free as possible. This includes what she eats, what she puts in her body, and how she detoxifies her living environment. I was concerned when she started to have severe allergy symptoms that only seemed to worsen over time, no matter how she tried to combat them. Doctors and holistic health care practitioners were constantly baffled by her wide array of seemingly unrelated symptoms that no amount of diet elimination medical, or herbal interventions would help. My friend was sick, and her quality of life was suffering. There seemed to be no answer, until one day her doctor suggested that it was possible that her symptoms were a result of mold exposure. Suddenly, the final piece of the puzzle was put into place and there seemed to be a light at the end of the tunnel. All of these symptoms were related to mold borne illness.
Back in 2012, a pipe burst in Taun's apartment, causing severe water damage that leaked through and flooded the downstairs apartment. The property management company never properly fixed the damage, and this was the root of all of her health problems that had plagued her for years. In thinking back to the time after this happened, she realized that her symptoms coincided with this, leading to sinus surgery in 2016, in which polyps were removed from her sinuses that had most likely started as mold balls. Following this, she continued to have worsening symptoms such as, but not limited to: a severely swollen face and eyes (to the point of being swollen shut), tightening and closing of the throat and lungs, as well as stomach pains that were often so severe that she would spend up to a week bedridden. In addition to this, she developed food allergies, and multiple chemical sensitivities. All of this has resulted in loss of work and extensive medical costs which have completely drained her finances, including her savings. As if this was not enough of a physical and emotional drain, the property management company refuses to address these claims.
Taun's apartment has been making her sick for years, and it is uninhabitable. Due to her chronic illness and chemical sensitivities, she has been unable to work and her medical bills have completely depleted her finances. She is asking for $7,500 just to cover the costs of some of the medical bills and moving to a new place so she can reclaim her life in a toxic-free environment. Your donations will help her take the first step on this journey to wellness and life as she once knew it.
