Help Taye Return to Racing

Hi, my name is Taye Perry, one of very few professional female motorsport athletes, from Africa, currently getting by in Europe. My promising career on the bikes came to an unfortunate pause in 2021 when the pandemic caused global lockdowns. I have since tried my best to keep as close to my goals and dreams as possible, by doing the next best thing, using some of my skills to co-pilote in the car category. I was good at it, but It wasn't where my heart wanted to be. My mental and physical health was on the decline simultaneously, with my hypothyroidism being trickier to manage without motorcycle racing.

At least I could pay my bills, and watch the bikes from the other end of the paddock... while I waited for the right moment to get back into motorcycle racing.

This is where I need your help. It takes a village to get a female privateer to the startline of big races. The costs to compete at marathon Rally Racing events are incredibly high, and impossible to take on on my own. The only way I can attempt to reach more financial sponsors is by getting to and proving my worth again at these races first.

I am currently scraping together every penny, and bit of work on the side, to compete at local and European Rallies for training, leading up to the big Races.

Your donation will go straight into my entry fees, assistance fees and travel costs, therefore helping me get back on track to competing at high level again.

An entry fee alone to the biggest event, the Dakar Rally, is €18,000. The rental of competition bike and assistance is +- €20,000, (or upwards of €28,000 if I were able to purchase the Rally spec motorcycle for multiple events).

Despite being a struggling privateer for most of my racing career, I successfully achieved multiple Women's National and Club Championships, Podium Placings between the men, as well as a Dakar Rally finish on the motorcycle, and 2 more Dakar finishes as a co-pilot in the leading car categories.

With the potential and dream to win the women's category at the biggest offroad race on the Planet, I owe it to myself and those who believe in me to try my best to get there. One small donation / sponsor at a time.
