Help Tayla Hodge recover from Hurricane Ian

Hi Tayla is my daughter by marriage. She is a single mom of two, Saige and Tianna. Despite many setbacks Tayla has handled life with courage, devotion and determination. They lost their home and all their belongings to Hurricane Ian. The water level in their home was 7 1/2 feet from the storm surge. They had evacuated so they were safe. The following are Tayla’s words after they were able to go back to their home to view the damage and see if anything could be salvaged.

“I have been a single mom forever, throughout the years my kids have made me things and I’ve saved almost everything. When they said “ Here mommy this is for you!”, that meant YOU KEEP IT!! I am so broken right now thinking about the fact today I must go through my home that was ruined by hurricane Ian in the hopes that I am able to save things. I don’t know about y’all, but I take pride in working my ass off for myself and my kids so we are able to have nice things. But when it comes to homemade things my kid made, THAT STUFF CAN NEVER BE REPLACED! Nor can I stop hearing the screams my children cried out when I brought them to the house yesterday after trying to explain that everything was ruined. They didn’t understand until they saw it for themselves. My heart crushed into a million pieces as the 3 of us hugged one another and cried for a good 10 minutes. HEARING MY GROWN SON CRY OUT BROKE ME!!! But as usual I wiped my tears and told them WE GOT THIS, this trio will figure it out, WE ALWAYS DO…❤️“
