Help Support Taylee After Tragic Accident

Help support Taylee Bornong as she recovers from being hit by a drunk driver

My name is Alecia Dahlquist, a cousin to Taylee Bornong.

For those of you who haven’t heard— Taylee was in a terrible accident this week. Taylee was driving on interstate after work at roughly 6PM Wednesday when she was struck on her driver side by a drunk driver who was driving the wrong way in her lane. She was flighted to Billings, Montana and admitted to ICU.

Taylee has been in a medically induced coma since the evening of the accident. She has undergone two surgeries, one of which was today lasting more than 9 hours. She has bruised lungs, a broken femur in multiple spots, a shattered humerus, and broken ulna.

They put a screw below her knee cap and placed a rod where her femur was broken. That will stay there for the rest of her life. As far as the shattered humorous; they are using plates and screws. After surgery they are planning to remove the intubation tube so she can breathe on her own. Prayers we get to hear her beautiful voice in the next 24 hours.

Taylee was awake in her room as they were prepping her for surgery this morning so family was able to talk to her and send her off with love.

Taylee will have a long road ahead followed by many medical bills including ambulance ride, flight, ICU stay, surgeries, PT, missed work, etc. As of this time— we are unsure if the other driver carried insurance so I’m hoping to start building some funds for this sweet girl to alleviate financial stress during this time with the unknowns.

Please— if you have been drinking, don’t get behind the wheel. This was absolutely preventable.
