We are profoundly grateful that Taylor, Masha, and their beloved family of 3 cats and 2 dogs made it out of the devastating Altadena fires alive and safe. However, their relief is accompanied by the heartbreaking reality of losing the home they lovingly built together over many years. Everything they owned—their sanctuary, their memories, and their possessions—was consumed in this tragic disaster.

Masha, ever the selfless soul, spent last night tirelessly working with the Altadena Mountain Rescue Team, helping evacuate those who couldn’t get out on their own. Even in the face of her own loss, she put others first. This is just one example of the compassion and kindness that define Maria and Taylor.

Their home was not only a refuge for themselves but also a haven for countless animals in need. Over the years, they’ve fostered numerous animals, nurturing them with love and care until they found their forever homes. Their hearts are as boundless as their dedication to helping others—human and animal alike.
