Help TCN employees pay for parking

The staffers of Times Community Newspapers are some of the hardest working and lowest paid journalists at the Los Angeles Times — earning less than $40,000 a year. But they face the steep cost of parking in downtown Los Angeles.

The Times refuses to fully cover this expense, so the L.A. Times Guild is holding a bake sale fundraiser — cookies! lemon bars! pie! — to help about a dozen staff members cover parking costs of about $85 month.
