Help Samia Survive in Egypt

My name is Ciara Cronin from Louth in Ireland. I am in contact with a Journalist from Gaza called Samia Al Atrash. She has been pictured recently with her young nieces Masa (2) and Lina (4) who were killed in an Israeli airtrike in October 2023. Samia was pictured holding Masa, saying her goodbyes, by Mahmoud Bassam. This image has since gone viral and many artist's, activist groups and community fundrsisers have used her image around the world.

After speaking for some time, Samia asked me to help her family evacuate as fortunately she has had the opportunity to leave Raffa, but this is very hard to do without the rest of her family.

Soha and her husband Muhammed live with her grandmother Fatam and Samia's brother Muhammed. They are all looking to evacuate as soon as they can.

The donated funds will go directly to the AlAtrash family to help them temporarily evacuate and rebuild their home once it is safe to do so. Here is a message from Soha directly.

"Hello

I'm Soha from Gaza Strip. I want to tell you about my life before the evil war on the Gaza Strip. I was a teacher at a private school in Gaza. My salary wasn't much, but I worked hard to collect money to build my small house. The war has destroyed my house and my family's house. Now we are homeless and we have no work or any source to get money to leave or rebuild our life. I had many dreams before the war .

I had a dream to become a mother, but I couldn't do that and now it's impossible due to this war. I used to work hard to collect money to have tubes baby, but I spent all the money I collected in the war. The prices of goods and food are so high. Now I have no house, no work, no money and no children. Please help me to collect money to rebuild my life. I still dream of starting a new life in a peaceful place. I still have dreams of getting a good job and having a small house in a comfortable place where I can have children and achieve my dream of being a mother."

I have made a few new friends recently who have made this type of evacuation possible and are familiar with the process. We have contacts in the UK, US and EGYPT who can deliver emergency aid and help with their return.

Soha's house in Gaza - She is now displaced.

I will be sending funds to Samia once she is evacuated to Egypt. She will be abel to register her famy to leave Gaza via Ya Hala. The cost is $5000pp + to leave.

UPDATE :

We will also need living expenses and acomodation help while they navigate the Egyptian regulations with working Visa's for the family to try and become self sufficent as soon as they can.
