Help Connie Wible Kick Cancer!

In the heart of the vibrant Seattle music community, we stand together to support one of our own, Connie Wible. An esteemed composer, teacher, mentor, musician, known for her generous spirit, exceptional talent, and boundless generosity, Connie has left an indelible mark on our hearts.

Perhaps you met her through the local music community where she often volunteered her time and talents, or perhaps you have a child that has taken piano or music lessons from her or her daughter.

Connie is a natural nurturer, gifted teacher, and compassionate human being. And...our dear friend, mother and sister is battling Multiple Myeloma. In addition to that, Connie is also fighting Amyloidosis (https://www.fredhutch.org/en/diseases/amyloidosis.html), a very rare blood disease. The medical team is working to fight both diagnoses aggressively. Unfortunately, this is a long battle that she cannot fight alone.

Connie has been so strong as she continues to teach half of her normal teaching load while completing weekly sessions of chemotherapy. Those days deplete her of all energy as she battles on. She has months left of these treatments followed by stem cell transplant surgery which will require 1-2 hospital stays and three months of isolation as her body is fighting to win back itself from this terrible illness and cannot be exposed to outside germs.

Connie needs our thoughts and prayers, but she also needs our financial help. She needs to cover the medical copays and coinsurance, living expenses, out of pocket costs for medicine as well as income to cover the cost of staying in her home while not being able to work. On top of all of that, her landlord has decided to sell their home and raised the rent $600 with little hope for a renewal after this current lease expires.

To help alleviate the financial strain that comes with health-related income challenges, we've initiated this fundraiser. Our goal is to offer Connie some peace of mind, enabling her to concentrate on healing and regaining her strength without the added weight of mounting expenses.
