Help Waves to Awareness Row the Atlantic for Maritime Safety

We are Team Waves to Awareness, an ocean rowing team participating in the Atlantic Dash 2025, seeing us row 3,200 nautical miles from Lanzarote to Antigua.

We are undertaking this mission to raise vital funds and awareness for the Caribbean Maritime Safety Association (CMSA), a not for profit established by our team, dedicated to enhancing maritime and water safety across the Caribbean.

These alarming global statistics highlight the need for improved water safety awareness and skills; and only begin to scratch the surface on our drive to establish this charity and associated projects.

The CMSA offers a range of training, including our flagship project ‘Making Waves,’ providing free water safety sessions and swimming lessons to schools and communities.

Upon arriving in Antigua, our team will help local communities access ocean rowing using our boat and equipment, as this sport is often limited. Over the past 10 years, only about 1% of 300+ ocean rowing boats have represented the Caribbean region.

The CMSA also offers a regulated and structured Maritime Search and Rescue training framework and delivers Vocational Beach Lifeguard Training all to improve maritime safety and security, to name but a few projects!

Our initiatives rely on dedicated volunteers and donations, and we need your support to continue this important work.

Our journey will also raise awareness of the National Sailing Academy , a not for profit providing sailing lessons to children in Antigua as part of the National curriculum as well as differently abled children and adults.
