UPDATE: August 10, 2023 12:15am

From My Mother Ruth:

It is with a shattered heart that I must inform you of Ted’s passing.

Ted passed on August 1 at 7:31am surrounded by his loving and beautiful family.

Although he fought the good fight, that terrible disease took his precious life far too soon, as it does for many.

He leaves behind two wonderful sons, Eric and Brian, a beautiful daughter, Marissa, His Forever Love and our 5 fur babies who all meant the world to him.
Not only are we now left with a huge hole in our hearts, we are now left to pick up the pieces.

All donations received so far have been placed towards Ted’s treatments and tests, now we have to focus on the funeral preparations and the remaining and constant medical bills that continue to come in, not even allowing us a moment to grieve.

Thank you all for your gracious and generous donations.
Words cannot express our gratitude.
Blessings to you and your loved ones. ❤️

UPDATE: July 27, 2023 12:51am

I want to give you a little insight as to what we’ve been going through with our medical healthcare plan.
Back in January of this year, our health plan did not renew its contract with City of Hope.
For Ted, and as for many patients, that means that many or all services provided by COH need to be paid by the patient if they choose to continue treatment(s) with COH without any interruption in care.
As if the costs of copayments, treatments, meds, equipments etc. aren’t already costly.
Although our health plan has approved Ted’s continuous care at COH, it’s with many more limitations.
Now our out of pocket costs have increased.
For 2 1/2 years, our portion has been costly but our health plan has covered some of the cost. That has changed.

*Tonight COH in Duarte called and requested that my Mom take Ted, my Father there for a blood transfusion since the lab tests he had this afternoon showed his blood count had fallen way below normal.*

Without hesitation my Mama took him.

*We have no idea if the transfusion will be approved by our health plan nor do we know the cost since there was no time to wait.*

I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Thanks to everyone who have come along with us on this seemingly long and difficult journey and who have been so generous with their time, words of encouragement and contributed to this fund.
We are beyond grateful.
The fight continues.

Update: July 1, 2023
With my heart racing, my family and I would like to give you the the most recent news.

We received a call today from City Of Hope and we were told that my father’s most recent catscan showed that the tumor in his chest and the one on his kidney are growing.

Looking at possibly going through a trial study, which are outrageous in price which we will have to put all our funds towards.
At this point there are not too many options.

Please Help and Share if you can. ❤️

Hi my Peaches and Frumps.

As most of my close family, Disney family and friends know, this has been the hardest time in my family’s life.

My father’s chemotherapy, radiation, medication, Doctor’s bills and health insurance, which is useless, have NO EMPATHY and are ridiculously EXPENSIVE.

My father has been battling Stage 4 Lung Cancer with all his strength and will, and that alone still gives us hope.

My mother and I are his full time caretakers, but the costs have become unbearable and we are lost.

I know WE are all going through something in our lives, and I have a pit in my stomach even posting this…

But if anyone can please help, even a dollar can go a long way these days.

I appreciate you even taking the time to read this.

Love you all my peaches. ❤️❤️
