Help Teen With Legal Fees
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kenisha, and I'm raising funds on behalf of my sister for my nephew Jamar. Last week we assumed he was a missing person but found out he had been detained for a non-violent offense with his friends in Del Rio, Texas. He allegedly gave someone a ride that he shouldn’t have picked up. Unfortunately, we cannot go into further details, but he maintains being wrongfully accused. We believe he's innocent because the incident doesn’t align with his values, upbringing, and personality.
My nephew is a humble, reserved, and kind soul who would give you the shirt off his back. He loves football and video games. He blushes when I call him my big baby. When he saw fireworks for the first time, he cried because they were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He recently graduated high school with good grades and looking forward to going to college and pursuing a career in real estate someday.
We are raising funds for attorney fees and to get his vehicle out of storage. He's terrified and told me that his statement was modified and that the prosecutor is trying to paint them in a bad light. We all know the system is biased toward Black men. He needs proper representation to give him a fighting chance. His hearing is soon, so we need to raise funds as quickly as possible.
Time is of the essence in bringing him home. He also has a history of a mental illness and is living with a chronic health condition and not receiving any medication.
We’ve all been teenagers and made questionable decisions due to ignorance or naivety. My nephew deserves some grace. He's so young and has a whole life ahead of him. So please donate if you can, share, and keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
