Help Teens Go To Harvard Mock Trial

We are hosting this fundraiser to send 40 inner city , 14-18 year olds to the Harvard Mock Trial High School Seminar program. Our students, due to a lack of both exposure and financial resources, would never get the opportunity to participate in programs like these. Exposure to programs like these can radically make a difference in a student's life, by opening them up to a whole new world of possibilities.
On October 8th and 9th, 2016, my brother, River, and I participated in the Harvard Mock Trial Seminar, where we both were so motivated and inspired by our experience, that we returned home wanting to take 4 students back to participate. That number quickly expanded to 10, and before we knew it, we had 40 students signed up. This proves the eagerness of the students, but due to no fault of their own, lack of resources creates a barrier to success.
Please help my brother and I raise $15,000 so that 40 inner city youths can participate in the Harvard Mock Trial high school seminar on November 12th and 13th, 2016.
We know it is a short notice, and it is a major task we are taking on, but we feel confident we can make it happen, as waiting until next year will eliminate some of the students that are already 18, the ones who need it most, from participating.
The program puts our students in an environment that they have probably never been in before. Students attending Harvard Univeristy are on a track to become tomorrow's leaders. The students we are taking might not go to Harvard; they might not even want to go to Harvard, but the expereince opens them up to a new world of possibilities.
Please help us raise $15,000 to sponsor 40 inner city students to attend the Harvard Mock Trial.
Our goal is to help expose as many students as we can to things other than what they see on a daily basis, because we believe that if each one teach one, we can change our nation.
About the Harvard Mock Trial
Mock Trial provides training in critical thinking, public speaking, and civic lessons through an introduction to the justice system.
During the dynamic seminar, high school students will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best collegiate mock trial competitors in the nation, begin to develop their skills in mock trial, participate in a student-led college tour of Harvard's campus and engage in a Q&A college panel with Harvard freshmen.
