Help Tegan Achieve Her Dream
Turn a dream into reality!
I am a single mother of 3 beautiful daughters - all involved in the sport of competitive gymnastics. I have worked incredibly hard over the years to build a business that deals with advertisement in restaurants and other sectors. Unfortunately, with the shut downs imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, my income as been drastically cut. I am the sole financial provider for my girls, and I certainly try to meet all of their needs. With vast amounts of work lost over the past year, it has been more challenging than ever. It has now come to the point that I can not keep up with the cost associated with training 3 athletes in competitive gymnastics. They truly love the sport, and it would definitely be a heartfelt loss for them to have to stop training. This cruel blow will be felt most deeply by my youngest daughter, 13-year-old Tegan.
Tegan is one of the top gymnasts in the country in her age category. She has just begun to shine as one of Canada’s bright stars for the future being recently identified by Gymnastics Canada as a 2024 Hopeful for the Olympic Games in Paris.
In 2020, as a High Performance Novice, she attended Elite Canada and finished second overall, winning vault and 3rd on bars. Recently, this year she competed at the virtual 2021 Canadian Gymnastics Championships and came out with a gold medal on vault and 6th on beam with very limited training and preparation due to the club shut down. Tegan was absolutely thrilled to be ranked #1 in the country on her favourite apparatus in her very first year as a Junior. The future is bright indeed. Tegan dreams of representing Canada at competitions around the world, and she is so determined to get to Paris in 2024 and beyond!
The gymnastics club has been incredibly helpful. We are so grateful for the support they have consistently shown throughout her young career, but the bottom line is, without financial assistance I simply can not keep up with the costs associated with training at the highest level of gymnastics.
With your help, Tegan would have an excellent opportunity to turn her vivid dream into reality. I am hoping that someone like you will perhaps find it in your heart to help out this enthusiastic young gymnast. Anything you could contribute in this campaign would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to pay for training fees as well as competition expenses as Tegan proudly represents Canada, Québec, the City of Gatineau and Unigym Gatineau.

Transformer un rêve en réalité !
Je suis une mère célibataire de 3 belles filles - toutes impliquées dans le sport de la gymnastique de compétition. J'ai travaillé incroyablement dur au fil des ans pour créer une entreprise qui traite du marketing et de la publicité dans les restaurants et d'autres secteurs. Malheureusement, avec les fermetures imposées par la pandémie de Covid-19, mes revenus ont été considérablement réduits. Je suis le seul soutien financier pour mes filles et j'essaie désespérément de répondre à tous leurs besoins. Avec de grandes quantités de travail perdues au cours de la dernière année, cette responsabilité est devenue extrêmement difficile pour moi. Je suis maintenant arrivé au point que je ne peux plus soutenir les coûts associés à la pratique de la gymnastique pour mes 3 filles. Elles adorent passionnément ce sport et ce serait certainement une épreuve difficile à vivre pour eux de devoir cesser l'entraînement. Cette cruelle réalité sera ressentie plus profondément par ma plus jeune fille, Tegan, 13 ans.
Tegan est l'une des meilleures gymnastes au pays dans sa catégorie d'âge. Elle vient tout juste de commencer à briller comme l'une des étoiles montantes au Canada. Elle a été récemment identifiée par Gymnastique Canada comme un espoir pour les Jeux olympiques 2024 de Paris.
En 2020, en tant que novice de haute performance, elle a participé à Élite Canada et a terminé deuxième au classement général, remportant le saut et une 3e place aux barres asymétriques. Récemment cette année, elle a concouru aux Championnats canadiens de gymnastique 2021 en mode virtuel et a remporté une médaille d'or au saut et une 6e à la poutre avec un entraînement et une préparation très limités en raison de la fermeture du club due au confinement. Tegan était absolument ravie d'être classée n°1 au pays à son épreuve préférée dès sa toute première année en tant que junior. L'avenir est très prometteur. Tegan rêve de représenter le Canada lors de compétitions internationales à travers le monde, et elle est très déterminée à se rendre à Paris en 2024 et au-delà !
Son club de gymnastique a été d’un très grand support tout au long de sa jeune carrière, et nous en sommes de plus reconnaissants. Par contre, sans aide financière à court terme, je ne peux tout simplement plus faire face aux coûts associés à l'entraînement de haut niveau en gymnastique.
Avec votre aide, Tegan aurait une excellente opportunité de transformer son rêve en réalité. J'espère que quelqu'un comme vous trouvera peut-être dans son cœur le désir d'aider cette jeune gymnaste passionnée et talentueuse. Tout ce que vous pourriez contribuer à cette campagne de financement serait grandement apprécié. Tous les fonds amassés serviront directement à payer les frais d'entraînement et de compétitions afin d’aider Tegan à fièrement représenter le Canada, le Québec, la Ville de Gatineau et son club Unigym Gatineau.
