Help tell the Untold Story of Martin Caidin

Hi, I am Jim Lewis, a film and television producer that was fortunate to meet Martin Caidin as a teenager. He had a tremendous impact on my life, and I believe that story of his life could inspire many others. That is why I want to share the story of Martin Caidin in a documentary.

Martin Caidin was a visionary author, pilot, and stuntman whose work inspired generations. But there's more to his story than most people know. We've recently uncovered a file with Caidin's unfinished work, and we're making a documentary to tell the full story of this extraordinary man. In our film, we'll interview those who knew Caidin best and explore some of the fascinating story topics he was still working on when he died.

Martin Caidin was a Best-Selling American author, a screenwriter, and a well-known authority on space, aeronautics and aviation. In his career, he authored more than 80 fiction and nonfiction books as well as thousands of magazine articles. One of his novels, ''Cyborg,'' inspired the 1970's television series ''The Six Million Dollar Man,'' starring Lee Majors. Another novel, ''Marooned,'' was the basis for a 1969 film with Gregory Peck. In addition to writing Caidin was an experienced pilot and stuntman as well as a broadcaster, lecturer and teacher. To say that Caidin had extraordinary talents would be an understatement. Those who knew him will never forget him. Our documentary tells the story of Martin Caidin with interviews from those who knew him best integrated with seldom-seen footage of Caidin himself. Based on a recently uncovered file, the documentary will explore some of the interesting story topics Caidin was still working on when he died ranging from telekinesis to UFOs to the mystic powers of Adolf Hitler.

Martin's ashes were recently sent into space on the Vulcan Rocket and I was able to capture video of the launch and the memorial service. I was also able to interview some of the people that knew Caidin at this event. but there is much more work to be done.
