Help Teri Van House Cettina Beat Pancreatic Cancer

Teri and Greg again need your help!
You have all been so incredibly supportive the past three and a half years! No one could have predicted the many twists and turns Teri would experience since she was first diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2018. Since the beginning, Teri’s unwavering strength and determination has resulted in surprising and hopeful progress towards healing. She has worked tirelessly to research new and unconventional treatments, all while tolerating some very rough chemo and radiation.
Now, Teri and Greg have a new mountain to climb, which is why I am “rebooting” their GoFundMe efforts. They are not waiting around to see what happens, they are taking action, and we can help!
In Teri’s last CaringBridge post, she explained that she no longer can receive chemotherapy. A recent CT scan showed three new lesions in her liver, which means after three and a half years of success, the chemo is not working hard enough to kill new cancer cells.
The good news is that Teri has found two clinical trials in which she can participate. She starts an immunotherapy clinical trial in Portland on June 1 and is waiting to possibly join another one in Seattle. Expenses such as lodging, transportation and certain medications are typically not covered for patients participating in these trials. It is difficult to ask for help, especially when those we’re asking have already given so much.
However, with your continued generosity, we can support Teri and Greg so that these expenses don’t prevent Teri from accessing new treatments. Your financial gifts will also help the family cover everyday expenses, since Greg has cut back on his freelance work to help care for Teri.
You have carried Teri, Greg, Sophie and Flora through the most difficult time of their lives. We don’t have the words to express how much your support is appreciated and do not take asking for help again lightly. So, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU and let’s help Teri and Greg stress less about money as they access these exciting new clinical trials!
With gratitude and love on behalf of the Cettina and Van House families,
Jennifer Cettina Maldonado (Teri’s sister-in-law)
P.S. Trader Joe’s and Kroger gift cards for groceries are also welcome. Please email me at [email redacted] for Greg and Teri’s address if you’d like to send them some.
