Help Terri and her family with expenses

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read Terri’s story.

Terri is our beloved sister, aunt, mother, and cherished loved one who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer. She lives with her long time partner, and two children in Anna, IL where she is employed at the veterans home proudly serving our US military veterans as a CNA. However, due to this recent illness and corresponding treatment, she has been unable to continue working, effectively reducing their household income by half. She bravely continued to work until the physical pain of the cancer became too much to bear.

Well wishes, and thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated, and all well and good. But what Terri needs are people with a big heart and a philanthropic spirit to help ease the undue stress and burden forced upon her and her family in this trying time. She needs the financial means to be able to continue the long drives to and from, and overnight stays in, Springfield IL where she is receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments. The means to continue putting food on the table, and keep the lights and heat on for her children.

No one wants to be forced into the humiliating position of having to ask for handouts. But sometimes, all we can do is throw ourselves at the mercy and humanity of our fellow human beings and hope, that they will hold our hand through these dark times, as we would for them.
