Help Terry and Colleen Rebuild After Devastating Fire

On 11/14/2024, Terry and Colleen experienced a devastating house fire that destroyed their home and belongings. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but they are facing unimaginable challenges as they begin to rebuild their lives.

Terry is a retired gentleman with a heart of gold. He’s an avid fisherman who finds peace on the water, a devoted family man who cherishes his loved ones, and a loyal friend who always puts others first. His constant companion is his beloved dog, Lola, who never leaves his side. A true motorcycle enthusiast, Terry has a passion for Harley-Davidsons, and nothing makes him happier than hitting the open road, embracing freedom and adventure.

Terry’s passion for his Harley-Davidsons has always been a source of joy and pride. One day, while preparing to work on one of his beloved motorcycles, he began the routine task of draining the gas. Tragically, the fuel unexpectedly leaked toward a nearby heat source. As Terry quickly tried to intervene and move it to safety, it was too late—the gas ignited, resulting in an explosion that occurred right in front of him, blowing him straight out of the garage.

The explosion not only destroyed their garage and all of their cherished possessions but also caused extensive damage to the house. The garage, which housed Terry’s prized motorcycles and tools, was reduced to rubble, and the house suffered severe fire, smoke, and water damage. The home will need to be rebuilt from the studs, and the garage completely reconstructed. In the meantime, Terry and his family are left with no choice but to live out of their camper as they navigate this heartbreaking journey to rebuild their lives.

Terry and Colleen are the kind of people who would never ask for help, always putting others first and handling life’s challenges with quiet resilience. However, this devastating situation has left them needing support. They now face the daunting task of rebuilding their entire lives from the ground up, and we’re hoping to come together as a community to ease their burden.
