Help Terry Fight This Rare Disease

Hi, my name is Alyssa, and I am fundraising money for Terry Mathews. Terry has a rare disease called amyloidosis, which creates a bad protein in his tissues and organs, slowly failing them. Not many doctors know what this is and have not found a cure for the type of amyloidosis Terry has.

In the past few years, Terry has suffered in pain and weakness and has slowly declined. Despite what the doctors have said about the lack of knowledge of this disease, Terry has not given up. He is an anomaly for this disease because he has surpassed the life expectancy exponentially that the doctors have given him. He has gone through medical trials and is willing to try anything to find a cure.

Terry's form of income came from coaching boxing and conditioning, but since he is too weak to coach he is not earning any money. He is also struggling financially from family matters. The money donated to Terry will help get him pay for any bills, groceries, and medical attention that he needs. The medication is expensive due to the small patient population and a small percentage of medication production, so currently, Terry is not taking medication that directly helps with amyloidosis due to the high cost.
The money donated so far has been used to make Terry feel better from the discomfort of the disease and allows him to seek extra medical attention.

Terry has touched many lives as a father, teacher, coach, friend, and mentor. It would be greatly appreciated to receive any donations to make sure Terry gets the proper care he needs. Any donations not used towards his medical bills and necessities will be donated to charity.
