Help the Aashour Family Escape Gaza

Hello, I am fundraising to help the Aashour family evacuate the horrendous war in Gaza.

They are: Tariq and Niveen, and their three children: Saleem (17), Sara (15), and Kareem (14).

Sara has contracted Hepatitis A due to poor sanitation, and requires medical attention which is not available in Gaza due to the constant bombing of the hospitals.

Since the outbreak of the war their home has been destroyed, they have been constantly on the move to survive, and they now face starvation and disease. Although Gaza is their home, there is nothing left for them there.

The funds will go towards paying the fee for the five family members to cross to Egypt through the Rafah border crossing.

Currently, it costs $5,000 USD per person to coordinate the crossing; all funds raised above this will go towards setting up the family in temporary housing and other essentials that they will need in order to rebuild their lives.

Tareq Aashour is the brother of a close family friend, my surrogate aunt. Tareq's nieces and nephews are close friends of mine.

The 2023/2024 school year was meant to be Saleem's last year of school. All across the Middle East, children his age (including his friends in other parts of Palestine) are receiving their final exam results and the applying to universities, but he is missing out as the war broke out just months after the school year started. He is the oldest child, and what was supposed to be a celebratory occasion for the whole family has been taken away.
