COVID-19 Relief for The Academy!

On Thursday, March 12th, 2020, The Academy by Divabee had an amazing dress rehearsal for their production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", with its pre-show opener, "Rats". Performers, parents, and teachers were all shocked that by the following afternoon, on March 13th, all theatre productions were cancelled due to COVID-19.
The Lincoln Center reimbursed all ticket purchases for "Joseph" and its pre-show, "Rats." The Academy did not receive any proceeds of the 675+/- tickets sold: roughly $8,000 that was already spent on a production that never saw an audience.
Jalyn Courtenay Webb, the founder and owner of The Academy by Divabee, is a passionate, active member of the Northern Colorado small business community, and is known state-wide for both her teaching and performance accomplishments. She has worked tirelessly through this pandemic to support, encourage, motivate, and entertain her students. Jalyn has continued to apply for every grant and loan available to small businesses in Colorado, to no avail.
The Academy needs our help!!!
We need to raise funds that will allow The Academy to continue to provide a safe and exemplary arts education to Northern Colorado. Income has drastically decreased, due to smaller class sizes and the lack of ticket sales for public performances. More families than ever are in need of partial and full scholarships. The Academy has never turned away students due to their inability to pay, and it is our greatest wish that that legacy can continue.
We thank you in advance for your love and generosity. The Academy community is AMAZING and this money will allow us to continue to serve our community the way only Divabee can.
