Help The Affected Communities In Sri Lanka
Donation protected
This barbaric attack on Easter Sunday has hurt us all, but as Muslims, this has hurt even more that it was done in the name of religion.
Any place of worship is sacred and this attack is an attack on all of us. We stand in solidarity with all Sri Lankans affected by this, regardless of race or religion.
We both live in Melbourne with very close ties to Sri Lanka and travel very frequently to visit family and friends. It is a home away from home for us and it pains us to see our beautiful nation suffering.
As a show of solidarity, we are raising funds which will go to the Catholic Church of Sri Lanka. In some way or another we want to help with their longer term healing and being able to practise their faith in their beautiful churches.
Funds will go towards the affected church communities and the lives and needs of victims and their families that were shattered that tragic day, to help with their medical needs both physical and mental, sustenance and education just to name a few.
We will be liaising with Procurator General Reverend Father Jude Samantha, at the Catholic Archbishop's House in Colombo to ensure direct receipt and dissemination of funds. We will keep our donors updated on our progress.
We thank you for supporting this worthy cause.
