Help Almanzar family during unexpected transition
Donation protected
I'm fundraising for my good friends, Cody and Amber Almanzar, and their awesome family.
Cody has been a faithful pastor for many years. He previously served bi-vocationally in Colorado, and since October of 2020 he has pastored full time in Laconia, NH.
On Tuesday, November 30th, Cody was notified of a closed-door decision made by two individuals to terminate his pastoral role, and require his family to vacate the church parsonage immediately. This decision was made without congregational involvement, and no charges of sin or failure have been made against Cody. The way this has all played out obviously comes as a shock, both to the Amanzar family and to many of those whom he has shepherded over the past year.
In short, Cody, his pregnant wife, and their eight children, are all left with no income, no home, and no clarity on next steps as they head toward Christmas and the New Year.
As you can imagine, this is an emotional time for the Almanzar family, and there are many questions yet-to-be answered. However, there are also some immediate needs. I have set an initial fundraising goal of $7500, meant to get the Almanzar's through the rest of 2021. This includes roughly a month of pastoral salary and housing allowance ($5000), as well as moving expenses ($2000), and some buffer for whatever else may be needed ($500).
There may be additional needs that arise as the family gets their bearings, and seeks to discern what's next. If so, we'll address them in future updates.
All that said, please pray for the Almanzar family, that the Lord would provide for their needs. Please also consider being an agent of that provision, by contributing to this fundraiser. Anything you can give would help. Thank you!
