Help the Alonso Family Honor Luis's Life

Dear Friends and Family,

Earlier this year in March, my father, Luis Ramon Alonso Vega, was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. Over the past several months as his cancer progressed his health began to rapidly decline. Despite his best efforts to overcome his illness, my father lost his battle on August 1st 2024.

My father was a kind, hardworking man who always put others before himself. Those who knew my father knew that he made many sacrifices for his family, including working across the country just so that he could provide my brothers and I with the best life possible.

While it is not easy for us, nor was it for my father, to ask for help, as we come together to celebrate his life and lay him to rest, we are faced with the financial burden of arranging his funeral. Therefore, we are reaching out to you for support during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will greatly help ease the financial strain on our family.

We thank you for your compassion, sympathy, and generosity during this difficult time. Your support means more than words can express.

Queridos Amigos y Familiares,

A principios de este año, en marzo, a mi papá, Luis Ramón Alonso Vega, se le diagnosticó cáncer de hígado en etapa 4. En los últimos meses, a medida que su cáncer avanzó, su salud comenzó a deteriorarse rápidamente. A pesar de sus mejores esfuerzos por superar su enfermedad, mi papá perdió su batalla el 1ero de agosto de 2024.

Mi papá era un hombre amable y buen trabajador que siempre ponía a los demás antes que a sí mismo. Aquellos que conocieron a mi papá sabían que hizo muchos sacrificios por su familia, incluyendo trabajar en diferentes partes del país solo para poder brindarnos a mis hermanos y a mí la mejor vida posible.

Aunque no es fácil para nosotros, ni lo fue para mi papá, pedir ayuda, al reunirnos para celebrar su vida y darle el último adiós, enfrentamos la carga financiera de organizar su funeral. Por eso, nos dirigimos a ustedes en busca de apoyo en estos momentos difíciles. Cualquier contribución, por pequeña que sea, ayudará enormemente a aliviar la carga financiera para nuestra familia.

Agradecemos su compasión, simpatía y generosidad durante este difícil momento. Su apoyo significa más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar.

Hello friends and family,

I wanted to let everybody know my dad’s funeral will be held Monday and Tuesday

Monday (08/05) from 5-8pm and

Tuesday (08/06) from 10am-1pm with a service from 11am-12pm

It will be held at Carnes funeral home in Texas City

3100 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX 77591

There are many friends my dad has made from all over the US. I know I probably do not have some of them as Facebook friends, I would appreciate if you see this post to share it with as many friends and family of my dad you may know.

Martes, 6 de agosto: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Servicio de 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Los servicios se realizarán en Carnes Funeral Home, ubicado en
