Help the amazing Considine Family!!!!

Hi, my name is Jessica, and I am raising money to help the Considine family with medical bills that they have incurred and will incur in the near future. Anyone that has met Katie and Steve know how amazing this family is and know what a close family they are. Their beautiful baby girl Avey had a brain tumor removed on 1/12/2024, and are still waiting on the final pathology report to determine what treatment she will need. They have already heard the words your child has cancer, but now the wait to find out what type and treatment. Avey has been in the hospital since they found the golf ball size mass on 1/10/2024. Not only do Katie and Steve have Avey, they also have 4 other beautiful children to care for. The following is her story told by her mom Katie:

My daughter Avellina who is 22 months, on Tuesday January 9th 2024 was sitting on our bench to our kitchen table. She accidentally fell off the bench. Her father and myself were unsure where she had hit her head, but I checked her over and her eyes were good and we kept her up for over an hour just watching her. She was extremely crabby at that point and we figured it was because it was way past her bedtime. We ended up having her sleep in our room with us so we could keep a close eye on her, she did not sleep well that night. In the morning when we were getting ready for her to go to daycare she was very crabby and kept tilting her head back, I almost brought her to the emergency room then but I figured she was acting like that because she didn't sleep well. I ended up feeding her and she was quickly back to her normal self so we sent her to daycare. While at daycare they said she didn't have any issues other than the last 20 minutes before we picked her up she was crying. When she came home from daycare she took a one hour nap and was up for about 10 minutes. When I went to walk with her to my room she could not walk. It was almost as if she was drunk and couldn't stand up. I sat her on my bed and the left side of her face was dropped almost like someone who has a stroke. My husband and I decided that he was to take her to the emergency room and that I would still go to work. She had to get a CT scan at the emergency room and with that my husband and I thought they would tell us she had a concussion. The nurse walked into the room and my husband said he asked her about the CT scan and the nurse told him the Dr. was going to talk to him. He thought maybe she had a small skull fracture but nothing could prepare him for what the doctor said. She had told him that there was a mass in Avellina's cerebellum and she needed to go to a different hospital that could help us. My husband then called me and I left work an hour into my shift to meet them at the hospital. From the first emergency room to the next one it was a very stressful trip. We got to the children's hospital at 1100 pm and we were in the emergency room for an hour before Avellina was whisked away at 1200 am to surgery to get an external ventricular drain to stop the pressure building up on her brain from the tumor. From the OR she was then taken to get an MRI and then sent to the ICU. The MRI showed a large tumor that measured 4cm by 4cm about the size of a golf ball that was pinching off the fourth ventricle in the spinal column. The next day Friday January 12th 2024 she then had her brain surgery to remove the tumor so they could send it to pathology to see what type of cancer it is. She unfortunately has had a very rough night after her surgery and we are unsure what will come next. My husband and myself are not working right now so we can make sure that Avellina and her 4 other siblings are ok during this difficult time.

Any amount is greatly appreciated. If you are able to donate please do so. This family also needs your prayers during this difficult time. Thank you so much!!
