Help the Armbruster's Olympic Dream!!

Please help the Stanthorpe Swimming Club raise funds to assist the Armbruster family get to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris to watch Ben swim!

Our Club is incredibly proud to have one of our own, Ben Armbruster, representing Australia at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in July. Ben will be swimming in the 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly races and is currently classified as a "Category 4 Athlete", which means he is an unfunded athlete. His journey to this prestigious event has been a remarkable one, filled with dedication & perseverance and the unwavering support of his family.

The Armbruster family, who reside in the small rural town of Stanthorpe in Southern Queensland, have made countless sacrifices over the years to support Ben's Olympic swimming dream. The cost of travel, training and competition have been substantial, but the commitment of his family has never faltered. From early morning drives (60km each way) to the nearest pool for daily training in winter, to travelling to national competitions across the country, their journey has been both challenging and inspiring.

As a small community swimming club, we have witnessed Ben grow from a young boy with a big dream, into a world class Olympic athlete. His success is testament to the power of hard work, determination and the strength of family and community support. Now we have a unique opportunity to give back to the Armbruster family, who have given so much over the years to help Ben achieve his goals.

We are seeking to raise funds to assist his family to travel to Paris to watch Ben compete on the world stage. Being there in person to support him would mean the world to Ben and his family, providing the emotional and moral support so crucial for such a significant event. The estimated cost for travel, accommodation & related expenses to get the Armbruster family to Paris is substantial, and we need your help to make their dream a reality.
